Value

After a few hours of great conversations with other working photographers, and a lot of reflection, it’s come to my attention that my fees are entirely too low. Why? Well, in short, low fees undercut other working stiffs and devalue my own work/craft. That seems like bad business to me. There are plenty of people out there in our area — (Northeast Ohio) — willing to pay for good work, and I can provide just that.

So, it’s time to gather some courage, market myself, and charge what I think (and the market says) I’m worth.

Thoughts?

Also, I’ve decided to resurrect this blog to make it a platform reflective of the original nature of blogging. So, it’s now directly linked through my newly revamped website: andrewdolph.net/wp

This blog will continue to function as a platform for me to freely disseminate my thoughts in a journal style — through words and images.

Enjoy!
